Wellness Programs - Exercise
Exercise is another wellness program
that people of all backgrounds find beneficial to their
lives. Different workout programs and exercises take
into consideration all body types so there is no excuse
for being without exercise. Research shows that exercise
increases the strength of a person's heart, prevents
sickness, promotes stress free living, strengthens bones,
reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol, increases
longevity and decreases the risk of getting diseases
such as cancer. The reality is you there is no going
wrong with exercise.
Exercise also helps to combat depression
by stimulating the brain and releasing Dopamine, a "happy"
chemical, into the body. Substance abusers trying to

helps keep them busy and in shape and helps stabilize
their still shaky physical and mental self.
Yoga, weightlifting, running, aerobics,
swimming, biking, jump rope, stretching, kickboxing,
personal training, etc are all popular, effective methods
